Victoria Centre Apartment Complex comprises 3No high rise mixed social and private residential housing blocks essentially mounted atop of the INTU Victoria Centre shopping & retail complex in the heart of Nottingham city centre.
2No lifts in each block, each block ranging from 21-27No storeys with all lifts also serving 2No main complex shopping floors and 2/3No sub levels of car parking open to public use.
Project brief was replacement of all 6No existing lift installations in fully occupied residential blocks and with the INTU shopping centre in full operating capacity.
ANSA assumed Principal Contractor role and all assumed duties under CDM2015. TUV SUD Dunbar Boardman acted as clients VT consultants and project manager.

Following extensive liaison/ consultation with Nottingham City Homes and Victoria residents working group, works were planned/ sequenced in 3No consecutive work phases in order to maintain single lift access to each block throughout the programme as well as significant coordination required with INTU with regards to delivery, movement of plant, storage and general preliminaries which overlap their operational domain and of course as required to minimise disruption to the shopping centre.
Scope of works based on encompassing design, supply, removal, installation and commissioning of new lift systems with inclusive ‘turnkey’ undertaking encompassing all associated builders / electrical attendances as required to facilitate delivery of completed full replacement lift installations in accordance with the Nottingham City Homes and their VT engineering consultants technical and performance specification & all current relative legislation and approved codes of practice.
Lift No6 scope differed slightly due to an agreed design change by NCH, as the lift is now to be made a through car and open onto the resident’s podium level roof top garden.
ANSA successfully completed ALL 6No lifts July 2020 to excellent feedback from both residents and customers
